Mythbusters on Craig Ferguson

I am apparently a technology moron: I didn’t set my recorder correctly and only saw part of the Torie interview. Is it online legally anywhere?

I had to agree with Craig–When Kari came out, one felt the need to emphasize the second syllable of Mythbusters.

I don’t think she got the joke the first time, but I certainly, certainly did.

Full episodes are on the Late Late Show website, though the 1/22 episode isn’t up yet, presumably it will be.

Loved seeing Kari, Torie and Grant outside the confines of Mythbusters. Torie and Kari seemed more comfortable up there than Grant did though.

I have to say that my biggest discovery though was Ferguson himself. He was really funny, and full of energy! I liked him a lot! I’ve been a big fan of Letterman for a long time, and I’ve never really watched any other late night shows, but I think I may end up trying to catch him more frequently.

The only thing I’m familiar with was his stint on the Drew Carey show back in the 90’s, and I liked him even then, but just based on that I never would have guessed he had this kind of charisma in him.

I haven’t had a chance to watch them yet, but the links seem to work:

Y’know, Craig Ferguson is probably the best late night host. Evah. Wish I stayed up that late.

Note regarding Tory Belleci’s paintgun flamethrower experiment: It doesn’t need gasoline and it throws both flame and unburnt paint, so it is easily traced back to the kid with the paint can. Tory was playing it cool on National TV, but rest assured he was caught.

But the garage floor was improved by the gold paint, which almost matched Dad’s new '72 Marquis.

How young is this guy? Oh, born in 1970? He’s on the tailend of the Poorly-Supervised Boomers and Immediate Post Boomers who had access to fun shit that our kids can’t imagine. Generally the later generations have to create methods of self-destruction that start out innocently, like skate boards. We watched PSAs about blasting caps that described precisely how they looked and how they were to be handled, along with a haphazard construction industry that both left them lying around and the dynamite in poorly-guarded sheds.

Spawn of Boomers, did you find your parents excessively protective? That’s because we’ve Been There, Done Her (or Him), and Blew It Up.

The intro was really good too. The little guy was the spitting image of Jamie, but Craig looked, acted and sounded more like Rolf Harris than Adam Savage.

Word.

Catch him on CBS.com and YouTube.

Ummm, WTF?

Thanks for the links. I watched the Kari one and will get back to the others.

Hmm, did she get a boob job? Even factoring in some post-pregnancy swelling, we’re talking about a pretty big difference.

The camera doesn’t always add 10 pounds in the same place.

I DVR his show every night and try to at least watch the intro segment and his monologue after the first commercial.

Along with being one of the most lively and funny late night hosts, he’s also very intelligent, and does a good job of addressing sensitive topics. Check Hulu/YouTube/whatever for his commentary on why he wasn’t going to pick on Britney Spears (during her meltdown) due to his own battle with alcoholism, and his talks about voting and citizenship.

True, but I kinda like her dirty.

Seconded. There’s no way we can stay up that late, but he’s worth setting the DVR for. When he and some of his staff and the puppets start lip-synching a song, it’s magic!

(They did this song at his live show - it brought the house down.)

If she’s breastfeeding, that could account for it.

I can’t really see her getting plastic surgery.

Even in her pre-pregnancy days, she seemed to be substantially bigger than in that bikini pic. I just hadn’t noticed until I saw that picture.

This one might be more up the average Doper’s alley.
