There was a Clive Cussler novel that posited Antarctica was simply Atlantis shifted way south, and the Nazis found it and used it as a U-Boat station.

Hey, I never said it was likely. Cussler also once decided that Alexander the Great’s coffin was buried under a hill in Texas.
