N.F.L. playoffs - weekly picks

I’ll start: Buffalo and New England are my picks to win today; “Nawlins” and Seattle are my picks to win tomorrow. Confidence: highest for “Nawlins” over Minnesota, lowest for Seattle over Philadelphia.

Buffalo, Titans, Saints, Seahawks

Great playcalling so far by Buffalo.

Stupid challenge by Bill OBrien.

The smoke the announcers are blowing up Josh Allen’s ass has made my mute button mandatory

Oh, Josh Allen. All you had to do was not take a sack or intentional grounding and let the kicker tie the game. Instead, you do both.

Tell me again dear announcers how much poise Allen has.

I am a bit surprised that McDermott trusted Allen enough to call a passing play on 3rd down.

Wow. Just wow.

as long as the damn patriots lose and go back to the 80s and 90s teams…

Allen is just panicking like that lady in the movie Airplane.

Bills showing their true Bills nature, blowing a 13-0 lead.

That was something. Boneheaded mistake after boneheaded mistake by Allen, the defense gives them another chance. Then, he, for reasons known only to himself, tries a lateral, then lucks out on the second dropped interception of the game. Ugly.

It was 16-0. Tied at least for now 19-19.

Allen is really panicking and wilting under pressure. He’s not seeing the field - not clear what he’s seeing. He might still win the game yet, but it looks like Houston is moving faster than he can think right now.

If all the playoff games go like this my cardiologist will be able to afford a new home. This as of 9:50 remaining in 1st overtime.

BTW I picked Houston in the one pool I’m in.

God dammit.

I was so hoping that the Bills could pull off a win. God knows their defense deserved it, and there was some inspired play calling early in the game. Oh well

Nice job protecting your lead, Buffalo. I don’t know who those two guys were who had a chance to take DeShaun Watson down, late, but they BOTH should be ashamed of themselves for not being able to “finish the job” on that play. So the Bills remain winless in the playoffs since 1995. Too bad for them.

Hell of a game!

Don’t they usually have 1 NFC and 1 AFC game each day? Having both AFC games today feels different.

THAT is the way playoff football SHOULD BE! Right down to the wire with an equal amount of screw-ups from both teams. And equal brilliance.

If Titans lose to the Patriots this will be a thoroughly rotten Wild Card weekend.
