Name five women more beautiful than People's choice!

This blew my mind: Gwyneth Paltrow Tops People’s 2013 Most Beautiful List

I even saw her on somebody’s “ugly actors” list at IMDb.

I’d pick any of our recent “voluptuous women” over Gwyneth. In a heartbeat.

De gustibus non est disputandum.

But I’ll go with Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams, Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley and, of course, Madame Pepperwinkle.

(Sorry for the delay.)

Maybe in most cases!

Yeah, I don’t get this one either. Not that she’s ugly or anything, but most beautiful? Don’t know about that.

Of course, People has always done this. I mean, Jodie Foster? Meg Ryan? Drew Barrymore?

And it’s so odd that Gweneth Paltrow has a giant mega-blockbuster movie coming out in a week. What a coincidence!!!

The answer is always “Christina Sinclair”.

But yes, it’s clearly a movie tie-in poll. A lot of these things are blatant advertising pieces. I was watching a movie top-ten show the other week and noted that by some strange coincidence every movie on the list had been made by the same studio. What’re the odds?

I think if I ever met Gwyneth in person I’d be smitten by her looks and sweetness. That said, not as smitten as I’d be by Jessica Alba, Cindy Crawford, Sophia Vergara, Jessica Biel or some young, yet to be named smokin’ blonde.

Wow, I have a co-worker who obsessively follows celebrities (and is my only source of knowledge on that front), so I’m surprised she hasn’t mentioned this yet.

Gwyneth huh? They’re trying to sell magazines, so I guess it makes sense to go with slightly provocative choices. Besides, if this were done in any sort of ‘scientific’ manner like a strict poll with scoring guidelines with the same hundred beauty “experts”, the list wouldn’t change all that much from year to year. I guess they could heavily weigh pop culture significance for that year, which would shake up the list pretty regularly…

(note I have no idea if Gwyneth was culturally significant in the last year)

Movie tie-in? This is an outrage. I hate it when money corrupts the integrity of judging people purely by their physical appearances.

It’s weird how the most beautiful men and women are always movie stars. Not one really beautiful person ever said “you know, I’d like to be an airline pilot.” And yet their beauty only lasts for a year before they are supplanted by a person who looked just the same a year earlier.

Or Naomi Judd, for that matter.

She’s not even on my radar, but she has looked pretty damn smoking hot in the two Iron Man flicks – oh, and those Daisy Dukes in Avengers.

There’s a shot in Iron Man 2 where Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson are walking up some stairs, and I swear she makes Scarlett’s body type look average by comparison. I know, I’m mad at myself even as I type this.

There are 5 women working in my building that are hotter than Paltrow, and I happen to LIKE paltrow. If not the building then definitely at my gym.

She is very pretty and likable though. Beautiful is analogous to pure hotness. To me, it means sultry, curvy hotness like Vegara, Eva Mendez, Penelope Cruz, and a host of other latin women. Cute would include the Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Natalie Portman.

Even on the pretty list though, she’d be knocked off by Kiera Knightly, Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johanssons. Elizabeth Banks?

Yes, this matters.

Keira Knightly? Seriously? I guess if scrawny women with underslung jaws are your type, then yes.

I keep wondering what the child would look like if she reproduced with Jay Leno.

Personally, for some reason I’ve never liked Paltrow’s looks. I can see that objectively, she hits all of the basic human beauty notes and has the angular, thin, symmetrical face typically prized in human beauty. She’s just never done it for me.

5 women I prefer now are Mila Kunis, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Carrie Underwood, and Jennifer Connelly.
