I had a dwarf hamster too. The pet shop guy convinced me it would be lonely on its own so I bought two. He told me they were both males. HE WAS WRONG! I ended up with 15 hamsters and kept them all because I’m was too much of a softie to sell them. Of course I made sure the boys and girls were kept seperate!
