as a lover of all things bacon, and as a person with serious food issues I make most of my own food and had the recent idea to make myself a nice batch of potato vodka, Brownie Ponts Blog » Homemade Bacon Vodka
then while with a student I had a thought, My students LOVE my candied bacon (well most of them do, the cowards wont even try it) Candied Bacon Ice Cream recipe (ignore the bits about ice cream at this point as they have no relevance to the vodka)
so I made a batch of Candied bacon per the above, using thick cut pepper bacon cut in half
I also fried up a strip of the same bacon non-candied
I then added one non-candied and 2 (4 halves) pieces of candied bacon to a half gallon of Vikingfjord potato vodka (this is important sort of…I cant have any other kind of vodka but the potato type)
now all I need is 2 weeks or so to find out what it tastes like.
the only names I came up with were
Vodacon
and simply
Candied Bacon Vodka
I was kinda hoping the Dope could come up with a better one. that or tell me one of those is actually perfect but some how I think you guys can top them.
