Name that fictional royal or aristocrat!

With the “Name that book,” “Name that ship” and “Name that rank” threads going so well, I was inspired.

What’s the royal or noble title of these characters, and in what work of fiction did they appear? Rely on your own memory and don’t consult any other sources, please. Feel free to add your own names.

Buttercup - Princess

Harkonnen - Baron, if I’m remembering correctly.
Shaddam IV - Was he the Emperor at the start of Dune? (Been a LONG time since I read it.)

How about…

Pothos
Duncan
Gale
Leir
Vardamir Nólimon

He was the Padishah Emperor. Which might count for two, depending on how you parse it.

Cleon

Cleon - Emperor of the Galactic Empire when it unsuccessfully invaded the Foundation in “Foundation & Empire”

Duncan – King of Scotland (King of Scots?) in MacBeth (the one MacBeth murders to gain the throne)

Robin Hood – in some versions of the legends, Earl of Loxley (in others, of more common birth)

Ruprecht – mentially deficient pseudoprince portrayed for scamming purposes by Freddie Benson (Steve Martin) in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Leir – King of the Britons (pre-Saxon, pre-Roman) according to Geoffrey of Monmouth; inspired Shakespeare’s King Lear.

Dor
Gloriana XII
Lorenzo the Kind

Doom could also be Thulsa Doom, preist-king nemesis of Conan the Barbarian.

Last King of Ankh.

Edited to Delete “Morpork”

How about:

Robert Baratheon
Gregor Vorbarra
Betsy

Emperor Gregor Vorbarra (Lois McMasters Bujold’s Vor series)

Queen Betsy (Maryjanice Davidson’s UnDead and … series)

Gloriana XII was, of course, the Duchess of Grand Fenwick (source: The Mouse that Roared) Bravo, jayjay, on giving me my fond nostalgia moment for the day. Probably for the week.

Kythereia, when you say “Pothos,” do you mean “Porthos”? I don’t think his ancestry or title were revealed, but he was one of Dumas’ Three Muskateers, if that’s whom you had in mind.

Right on all three - the last, in particular, brought a smile to my face. And you even remembered Martin’s con-man character’s name - impressive!

“Not mother…?” I love that movie.

Some more:

Almaviva
Altoum
Enrico Ashton

Dor: King of Xanth.

Nope, I mean ‘Pothos’. It’s a little bit of a stretch in terms of royalty or aristocracy, but Pothos is a ruler…
