Name that sidekick!

Inspired by the recent ‘name that villain’ thread, identify the following lackeys/companions/underlings/right-hand men, etc:

Pepper Potts
Woozie Winks
Bubble
Walter the Wobot
Marion Ravenwood
Jamie McCrimmon
Venus Smith
Ariadne Oliver
Agatha Aellyn
Barney Gimble
Jerry Van Horne
No. 1 Son
Mr. Mooney
Roy Harper

Charlie Chan

Woozie Winks - Plastic Man
Roy Harper - Green Arrow (Ollie Queen)

Ariadne Oliver–Hercule Poirot

Barney Gimble–Andy Taylor

Mr. Mooney–Lucy (Isn’t he more of a nemesis than a sidekick?)

Jamie McCrimmon–one of the Doctors, can’t remember which

Marion Ravenwood - Indiana Jones

No, that would be Barney Fife. Barney Gimble would be for Homer Simpson I guess.

Oops. Yes, I had an inkling that might not be right, but I didn’t want to cheat and Google.

Except I’d swear it’s “Gumble”.

-Joe

And I do believe you’re correct. Oh, well… I’ve never claimed to be a major Simpson expert.

Pepper Potts- Ironman

Marion Ravenwood- Indiana Jones

Mr. Mooney- Lucille Ball?

Virginia “Pepper” Potts - Tony Stark / Iron Man

Brian
d’oh - mised it by less than a minute

My bad. Should’a been “Gumble.”

All correct so far.

Here’s a couple more:

Warren Weber (better known by a nickname)
Eve Teschmacher
Oliver Pike
Martin Pawley

That would be Potsie, Richie Cunningham’s sidekick during the early years of Happy Days. (He later faded more into the background.)

That would be Lex Luthor’s sidekick from the first of the Christopher Reeve Superman movies.

Walter the Wobot is Judge Dredd’s sidekick.

Venus Smith was one of the Avengers - the British TV show, not the Marvel comic; she worked with John Steed in a few episodes of the second season, before they brought in Mrs. Gale.

Jamie McCrimmon was the longest-running sidekick of the second (Patrick Troughton) Doctor Who. (In fact, IIRC, by number of episodes he’s the longest-serving Who companion ever.)
