To answer, I think “Ghani-Oh-One” has got a nice ring to it. Kinda poetic, kinda 'mericunized, kinda trendy.

I doubt it will get a catchy name. The whole thing’s just too open ended. Probably something bland like “The Campaign against Terrorism”, with individual episodes involving significant military force being referred to as “The Afghan Conflict”, for example.
Can’t really name it anything tied to Afghanistan because the conflict probably won’t end there.
I am trying to think of some clever name for this and am drawing a blank. I can’t even think of a dumb one.
The Washington crowd wants something unmemorable and unspecific. Perfect Justice. Final Retribution. The War for Peace In Our Time. The War To End This Lastest War.
Time to return to the old spindoctoring of the Korean War, and just call it a UN Police Action, which will end with a perp in the cooler.
