The song is from the early eighties if I remember correctly. It’s a whiny introspective piece where the guy sings a a few lines of Dan Fogelberg-esque lyrics, followed by a few bars of harp and orchestra, then back to a few lines of lyrics. The pattern continues through the song. The thing sounds like Fogelberg to me, but it just as well could be someone else. There’s a bit where the singer says he comes to a crossroads or fork, and can’t decide which way to go, but not in those exact words. Any ideas?
I’m going to go with “Nether Lands,” released by Dan Fogelberg in 1977. I’m pretty familiar with Fogelberg’s music, but I can’t say I’m familiar with that one.
ugh. That’s it! Thanks!
That’s THRICE IN THE SAME DAY Gordon Urquhart identified the mystery song. Is that a new record?
Wow! I really thought that was going to be the wrong answer, given the description, but Gordon Urquhart pulls through with the trifecta!!!
