Name Translations...some are obvious and some are just plain weird

Mine you wouldn’t guess unless you roleplay with me. It’s simple, though. I have a character I roleplay with on Efnet on IRC in #VampCastle named Talera. The character she married a while back used TrevorRis for his nick, because his name was Trevor Ristain. So I tacked on the Ris to mimic him when they married and I’ve used the nick ever since. When I get in chat I just use Talera, though. I got the name out of Curse of the Mistwraith - she was the Queen.

My name is Lawrence because I went to college in a certain Midwestern town of the same name where I spent 7 years getting my BA and MA.

Billy Packer was shouting “Rock chalk, Jayhawk” a couple of weeks ago. Well, he ain’t gonna be shouting it no more this tournament, but just wait till next year.

Yep, we knew that:

Add a few vowels, and my name is in honor of my very smart 4 footed buddy…

And he is full of tricks, too!

“My, my. Such a lot of guns around here and so few brains.”

Mine’s actually an anagram of “moth”. I’m an entomologist studying the narrow-bordered bee hawk-moth (Hemaris tityus).

I am the Lord God of Hosts. But that was already taken, so…

Monty Pythons Flying Circus, the “Piranha Brothers” sketch. Spiny Norman is a giant hedgehog, somewhere between 6 and 800 feet long and lives in an abandoned airplane hangar near Luton.

I saw the sketch the night before I decided to register, and - well…
