Name your favourite current children's cartoon/show.

I’ve got my kids with me 3-4 days a week and once homework is out of the way, the TV is usually tunned to cartoons and other children’s programs. Sometimes, when I turn the TV on the next day it is left tuned to the kid’s channel and I find myself listening to the familiar cartoon voices, as if the kids are still there in the livingroom while I putter in the kitchen or do laundry, etc.

My favourites; those I’ll sometimes stop what I’m doing and watch with the kids:

  • Fairly Odd Parents (Good times, Gooood Times…)
  • Kim Possible (So not the drama!)
  • Kids Next Door
  • Dexter’s Laboratory (DeeDee you silly gurl. Dis is sciiii-ence. And sciiii-ence is not preeetty!)
    You?

SpongeBob Squarepants. My four year old daughter loves it too.

Fairly Oddparents. Except I seem to catch the same few episodes over and over.

Dexter’s Lab was a favorite, when it was being upkept with new episodes. Totally Spies… eh. Looks like a ripoff of Chynna Clugston’s Major’s Blue Monday, with the art style and some character names. Teen Titans - I like it when I catch it.

Justice League Unlimited is my favorite current toon not targetted specifically towards adults.

If you expand current to include repeats that still air, I’m going to have to go with Invader ZIM.

I love the little tacos. I love them good.

Teen Titans. Invader Zim too, if that still counts.

All I can say is: Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!

Our list of favorite cartoons includes:

Dave the Barbarian, you just have to love " The Dark Lord Chuckles, the Silly Piggy."

Teen Titans.

Justice League Unlimited.

Justice League Unlimited.

As an old Justice League reader, it’s great just seeing the cast.

And the writing isn’t bad either.

Backyardigans has been growing on both me and the little guy – it may be the current favourite chez Rube E.

Another vote here for “Dave the Barbarian”. Not only does it feature Chuckles the Silly Piggy, Princess Candy rides a flying pony with a rainbow-striped mane and tail that does a scary good Christopher Walken impression. Also, I like the unusual (for cartoons) style they chose for the backgrounds.

“HI FLOOR!! Make me a sammich!!!”
