“I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred.
No. Really.
I shall now hide my face in shame, and resume listening to Nick Cave.

Well, depending on what is meant by “guilty pleasure”…
It would be hard to find a song that I like that is totally out of line with my usual taste in music, eclectic as that is, but Smash Mouth’s “All Star” comes close. That song came out while I was taking computer programming courses at a college, which is what it still reminds me of. Ah, those were the days.
As for a song that I like but don’t like to admit or won’t let people hear me play, how’s about “Making Our Dreams Come True” by Cyndi Grecco. Yup, I love that song. Beat that!
Sailing? What’s wrong with Sailing? It’s one of my favorites!
Oh my goodness! I remember that one! Of course, you never hear it anymore…
Well, I like “Quit Playin Games”… but don’t tell anyone! I experienced a short-lived Backstreet Boys period, due to youth and extenuating circumstances. My condition has since improved, but that song stuck.
I also find myself singing the Fraggle Rock song. More often than could possibly be normal.
I like it too. Firstly because it reminds me of that fifth (?) grade slumber party where we all sang it together with the radio, secondly, listen to the lyrics! That song is a hoot!
So is Undercover Angel. I just sit and cackle at that guy’s chutzpah whenever I hear it. “underneath the covers, the answer lies, I’m lookin for my angel in your sweet lovin eyes” Say what? indeed.
Sorry, but “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone,” was done by the great Bill Withers. Al Green may have done a cover, but Withers did the original.
“And I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know…”
It’s Kiki Dee, not Chaka Khan on “Don’t go Breaking My Heart” – I think Kiki Dee’s only claim to fame, apart from that, was “I Got the Music in Me” (which, I realize, I still know all the words to – aieeeee!).
We Built this City by Starship.
The worst part about this is that I’m a big Jefferson Starship fan, and I hate the plain Starship, and particularly hate what that song is about. The song is an attack on Paul Kantner, founder and current leader of the Jefferson Starship. This is a horrible middle to be caught in. But whenever that song comes on the radio, I can’t change the channel.
I’ve never admitted this before. I’m so embarrassed. (Oddly, I’m not embarrassed about being a Jefferson Starship fan, and for having all their albums, which I still listen to regularly. Their first album came out when I was one year old, so I’m a curious minority whenever I go to their concerts. Which I go to whenever they’re in town.)
