Need a song artist/title!

I’ve seen American Beauty 3 times, and yet I can’t remember the name of the song used in the seduction scene in the end. I’m relatively certain that Annie Lennox did it, but even that I’m unsure about. If anyone knows the title of this song, PLEASE tell me. I’ve become addicted to Napster, and I want to try to find it on there.

“Buffalo Bills? Oh, yeah. The guys that always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.” --WallyM7

Amazon.com has a track listing for the soundtrack album; do any of those artist/titles sound familiar?

It’s “Don’t Let it Bring You Down”, a Neal Young song covered by Annie Lenox.

It isn’t on the American Beauty soundtrack, and I’m not sure if you can get it or not.

“…being normal is not necessarily a virtue. It rather denotes a lack of courage.”

Well, that sucks. :frowning:

I’ll keep an eye out, just in case, now that I know what it is. Thanks, Chris.

I believe it’s on the ‘Medusa’ CD from 1995.

Okay, now that I know what I need to know about that song, I need another.

Heard a song over the loudspeaker in a grocery store, of all places. The band sounded like Cake but wasn’t, and the first line of the song was something like “Everywhere I go, someone’s trying to be my girlfriend’s best friend.”

Anyone know that one?

I think that’s the latest tune by the Bare Naked Ladies (sorry don’t remember the title).

Can I piggyback this topic?

I’d like to know what is that song they play in the trailer for “Mission to Mars”, I think it was called.

The “Everywhere I go” song is Get in Line by the Barenaked Ladies. It’s on the King of the Hill soundtrack.
