need help buying b-ball tix online

I’m trying to buy Orioles tickets on line. (I know, I know, what’s the point?)

I have some friends coming in from out of town and they want to see Camden Yards.

Anyway, there was a website that was something like: “exec tix” or “exec tickets” but I can’t find it at all now.

The problem is that there will be five of us which is a really tough number to accomodate since most tickets are sold in the traditional blocks of two or four.

Yes I have tried the search engines and I was on this particular site not too long ago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And seriously, Yankee fans need not reply and can their snide-ass comments to themselves. This season has been tough enough as it is with no more salt needed for the many wounds.

I suppose going down to the ballpark or using ticketmaster.com is out of the question.

I’m going to hazard a guess you want http://www.ascticket.com/main.html

It took, oh, I don’t know, maybe 45 seconds to find that on the internet using Infoseek and serching for “Baltimore Orioles tickets” + “on sale”. They are pricey though ($199 per ticket for Hanson in concert, $85, per ticket, for a Jimmy Buffet lawn seat). Especially if you are eying the last game of the season (could be Ripken’s last you know).

I’d stick with the ballpark or ticketmaster unless you absolutely have to have good seats and don’t mind forking out at least $40 a ticket.

Couple of suggestions. First, if you want to buy them online, http://www.ticketmaster.com can do it, or find a link through http://www.theorioles.com. Second, not sure how familiar you are with the Camden Yards setup, but they have what’s called a “scalp-free” zone where they have an actual Orioles employee who keeps a list of people looking to sell their tickets and those looking to buy, and match them up for face value. Kind of a service to their season ticket holders, so they can resell their tickets without much trouble, I think. Even with five I’d guess you’d have NO trouble doing this, save for the Yankees and the last game of the season (which this year is one and the same). As long as it’s another game, I think your best bet for good seats cheap is to go to The Yard an hour, hour and a half early and get tickets like that. With the O’s playing the way they have, LOTS of people are reselling their tickets. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if you got offered FREE tickets by someone – I’ve had that happen to me before as well.
