Maybe a classic war film like Kelly’s Heros, The Great Escape or The Dirty Dozen. You know the type. The ones where WWII was essentially like going away to summer camp to kill Nazis with a bunch of tough as nails wiseasses.

Ah yes, like Where Eagles Dare. Might be nice to check out an unedited for TV version.
