I’ve had a song rattling around my head the last couple of days that I absolutely cannot remember the name or artist.
I think it came out in the mid to late 80’s. The lyrics were spoken by a male (I think he may have been talking about a dream he had or something), not sung (although I don’t remember any of the words).
The defining part of the song, though, was when there was a break in the speaking of the lyrics, there would be the sound of a person walking in squeaky shoes in time with the beat of the music.
Normally, when I want to hunt down a song, I’ll try allmusic.com, but I don’t have enough info to do much there… Any ideas?
