Need Photobucket help!

I’m trying to figure out how to make my pictures larger whenever I’m using the direct link for them. I didn’t know how big a difference it could be until I saw this girl’s picture on another site I frequent. It looks like we both took the picture the same way, via an in game camera and saving it to a SD card. But why is hers larger than mine and so clear? I tried increasing the size by using the edit feature on photobucket, but the bigger it was the less clear it became, until you couldn’t tell what was what. Any suggestions as to what I’m doing wrong and how to fix it?

Hers

Mine

Just thought I’d add that when I open my picture from the file on my computer, it’s nowhere near that small, it just opens in the photoviewer like normal.

Try reuploading it. At least that’s the first thing I’d do.

Tried that twice hoping that would fix it, no dice.

I have a pro account, so I can choose what size I want my uploaded picture to be.
I can set my 3.2 mb file to be no larger than 1mb, or I can let it go full-sized.

Perhaps she has a pro (paid-for) account…

I don’t have a photobucket account, but I checked the helpfiles at How to Start a Photo Booth Business in 2023 - Let's Get Started . Check under “Upload Media” and from there “Set your upload options.” Apparently with the free accounts you still get some control over how large your photo is resized. There is an option for “160x120” which is closest in size to the one you linked to and may be your default. You should have a list of radio buttons for much larger sizes.

Note that’s just the help file. You’ll need to log in, go to Upload Now, and somewhere on that page there will be a link to “Customize your upload options” which will be where you should be able to change things.

Jenaroph, I think I might just love you! That fixed it!! Thanks!!

You’re welcome, glad it worked!
