A few years ago, somebody—I’m fairly sure it was a disgruntled former co-worker—reported my personal website as violating Facebook’s community standards. I don’t know what the complaint was, but FB’s response was to block my domain. I can’t set it as my website in my profile. Neither I nor anyone else can post links to it. This really sucks for a freelance author and consultant who wants to direct interested people to my site!
I have tried every reporting mechanism FB has. I have reported this as a harassment issue, and every other type of challenge that they have. I even had a bunch of friends attempt to post links to my site, and then use the “challenge” button on the popup dialog that said my site was inappropriate. Nothing.
There are ways around it, of course. URL shorteners, using one of my other domains to make auto-forwarding links, and so forth. But the point is that I want to use my actual domain name that I’ve been using since 2011. Since I’ve pretty thoroughly unmasked myself here, I’ll even give you the domain name to look at: https://GaryDRobson.com/
There appears to be absolutely no way to contact a human being at Meta. For the life of me, I can’t find anything objectionable on my website. Does anyone have any ideas?
Anyone?
Bueller?
