Need Tune-to-Sheet Music Conversion: Multiplication Rock Figure Eight

Good evening, Straightdopers; Gift of Schizo here.

Many of you will remember the old Multiplication Rock–remember the one for the number eight? “Figure Eight” it was called; the ice skating girl?

I have the tune on MP3, and I’d like to learn to play it on the piano, but my limited ear/skills are preventing me from getting it, especially the left hand part.

Can any of you help me, maybe with some hints as to key and bass? I’d love to buy the sheet music, but it doesn’t seem to be available.

Thanks…GoS

There is software that can do this. This particular program has a free trial available, but I don’t know if its capabilities will allow you to save or print the finial output, or if it will limit you to a certain number of measures; lots of trial versions of software are handicapped in some manner. It’s worth a try, perhaps. Alternatively, we have several musicians here; they might be able/willing to transcribe it for you.

Even though this is a legit GQ, let’s move a question about music to Cafe Society.
