Needed- iPod to iTunes transfer program

Does anyone know of an IPod to iTunes transfer program that won’t double anything already on iTunes but fill in the blanks with what songs aren’t already there?

We want the option of selecting all songs for immediately transfer instead having to select each song for individual transfer.

CopyTrans would automatically select the songs needed to be transferred from your iPod to iTunes. Works only on Windows.

For Mac, use DeTune.

I usually use a computer tool called iTransfer.
It helps me transfer songs and other files from my iPhone to my Windows desktop or iTunes library.

Hm, guess that there are a multitude of apps out there to transfer iPod contents to iTunes.

So, what else have you found? Any where a customer could actually contact the seller before buying?

Also, are these programs that won’t double one’s files?

Hey FriarTed
I downloaded the program iGnuz cited and it downloaded the entire iTunes from my iPod to iTunes.

I had lost my hard drive on the computer iTunes resided on, and I’ve sent my hard drive to Geek Squad to recover all the data on the HD. ($500-700 14 weeks)

In the meantime I downloaded the program and it transferred the songs to my hard drive. When I imported the songs to iTunes the program said “Only 100 songs allowed. $19.95 for the unfettered version.”

I grumbled and paid the $19.95 and started over. It imported all the songs correctly it appears, and all the album art. (I had 12,500 songs or so and all the album art)

But I ran into 2 problems, and I’m not technically savvy to know why, or how to fix them.

  1. iCloud reached out and re-downloaded the songs that had been purchased through iTunes so there was duplicates of around 1000 songs. Very aggravating.

  2. I downloaded iTunes (this is a different computer than the one that crashed, obviously) and authorized it via iTunes, and while Apple seems to recognize my authorized computer, my computer doesn’t recognize either of my iPods. (but it will charge the iPod)

In frustration I deleted iTunes and will wait for my recovered data to come back from Geek Squad. I can always try to re-download from my iPod, but I’m not in a hurry.

There were a lot of good suggestions in this thread.

I’m bumping this question.

Raindog- let me know once what happens when you get yours worked out.

Anyone know about this?

I’m going to the old thread to add this question just in case.
