I thought it was funny.
I, for one, applaud Sandy’s brave decision to come out like this in public. He can serve as a role model to puppies everywhere.
My reaction was “Ew” but fell short of absolute disgust. I prefer not to swap spit with canines, but I will defend to the death NPH’s right to do so.
I doubt he’ll get a disease from it. The gays are a very clean people.

I hate being licked by my dogs, but I think most people with dogs have wound up doing that at some point or another. NPH just took it an extra step for comedic effect. IMO, just taking the time to post the question here and create a poll about it is an over reaction.
Having said that, I’ll vote for “who cares”.

Well, I hope he got paid well for it, and he’s the consummate actor so he put his all into it, but it was an unnecessary part of an already too long awards show my wife made me sit through.
Gross, but not outrage gross.
I voted “Other” because one of the poll choices should have been “Hilarious!”
There were so many other great parts of the show that the dog kiss was only a minor amusement, but I still thought it was very funny, particularly NPH telling the dog that he is in a relationship.
I did wonder if it was completely spontaneous, or prepared in some way (by NPH putting bacon grease on his chin).
It reminds me of this Patrice O’Neal bit. “Devil kissin a jackal!”
SNL had a dude (not a cast member) frenching a dog in a Chanel commercial parody in the Eighties. Was there a lot of hubbub over that then?
