but in a good way. I just saw her live, and I cannot properly describe the experience.
She sorta just cranked out some sort of mix of spoken word, rock, rap, jazz, showtunes and stream-of-consciousness.
We need more like her.

I loved her debut double album, Get Away From Me (especially since the title was a subtle parody of Norah Jones’ Come Away With Me). Wasn’t she having issues with her record label, leading to the long delay until her next release?
AMG has a 2006 album listed for her, but no information otherwise. Fingers crossed.
Pretty Little Head releases next month on a new label.
Insane, adorable and unique. I wish there was still a link to her performance of The Dog Song from the Letterman show. 'Cause that’s what it’s all about. Woof.
I’ve had a bootleg copy of Pretty Little Head for about 6 months now and I can confirm its quirky goodness. While still eclectic, the new release isn’t quite the mish-mash of styles on the first CD which makes it a more coherent listening experience. Cupcake is probably my favourite track and is a real toe-tapping excursion into 1960s girl-group sugar-pop.
I’ll definitely purchase the official release and hope she’s given room to experiment and grow on the new label.
