Netflix can suck hedgehog nuts...suggest a good netflix choice.

Netflix over-drafted my account with their damn automatic billing. Don’t judge me about my damn finances. Just suggest something SOOO DAMN GOOD on instant stream, that I will forget my burning anger.

Today was the FIRST day that I got out of the office at a godly hour, not having to come in the next morning. I was going to find a smokey dive bar with a great reggae deejay, but it was so fucking cold, that I couldn’t hack it. I decided to get a bottle of scotch and go home and lay in bed, ignoring my roommate and watching netflix since they somehow got my bank, which isn’t supposed to pay out when I have no damn money, to charge the damn eight bucks, not to mention my bank charging 32 FREAKIN’ SMACKAROOS for the over draft fee.

Please suggest a movie so great that I feel it is all worth it. My favorite movies are Kill Bill, Jesus Christ Superstar, Glengary Glen Ross, and There Will Be Blood.

How many times have you seen No Country for Old Men? Once is not enough.

I can’t believe I didn’t think of this. It is the movie that beat There Will Be Blood at the Oscars right? Bless you, Auntie Pam. I think you just made my night.

Have you watched “Orange is the New Black” yet?

Yep, monstro. Watched it, fell in love with Crazy Eyes doing Shakespeare, waiting to see what the FUCK happens after Piper beat the Jesus Freak’s face in.

Don’t thank me yet. I don’t know if Netflix has it.

If not, then start on the UK version of House of Cards. It’s excellent.

Yeah, AuntiePam, it isn’t instant streaming, so I will have to find something else.

Hello? Dragnet, Adam-12 and Emergency are on Netflix?

If you want to know what my childhood growing up in LA in the 70s was like, there you go.

I recommend Machete. It had the vengeance theme of Kill Bill, a religious figure like Jesus Christ Superstar, the profanity of Glengary Glen Ross, and there was plenty of blood.

We watch a lot of stand up comedy on Netflix streaming. Take a look and see if there is someone there that might appeal to you. I highly recommend Margaret Cho and Louis C.K.

“You know… I could kill you right now very easily. This? This ain’t shit.”

For some inexplicable reason I haven’t seen the UK version yet but I have seen the Netfux version and it’s phenomenal. I say ‘inexplicable’ since I tend to watch every UK show I hear about and could have sworn this was on my list at some point. It IS a long list though. Oh well.

As for movies, 2 of my all time favorites are the original version of Blade Runner (I like happy endings, sorry) and The Fifth Element. I won’t even try to justify the second one except to say that Milla Jovovich is just so utterly adorable in that I’m enchanted every time I watch it and it’s one of the few movies I’ve ever watch more than once. It also has the most amazing vocal solo by Maiwenn as Diva Plavalaguna.

Overdrafts are no fun Nzinga. I’ve suffered a few of them in my time. I called up my bank and got them to reverse a couple once. It might be worth it to give it a try. They might reduce it at the least.

Hope you found something good to watch.

Foyles war would be my suggestion, more of a soothing series than the go postal ones.

I ended up really enjoying Saving Grace with Holly Hunter. Her character is raunchy and quirky, the fellas are pretty nice to look at and there are 5 seasons to watch.

The angel sidekick aspect was easy for me to ignore.

I liked Wallender with Kenneth Branaugh as well.

Thanks everyone. I ended up getting tipsy and watching documentaries. I don’t want to get hooked on a whole new series, because I will never have time off to watch it.

I’ll have to watch that - we’re currently watching the US version, and I can’t believe how good it is. Kevin Spacey is a marvel in his role as Francis Underwood.

Did you watch “Death By China”? Fascinating!

I can’t remember the title, or if it was on Netflix or Amazon, but there’s an excellent doc about the history of New York City. It was fascinating.

If I could get to my Netflix account, I’d check the title, but my password doesn’t work and I’ve been waiting since yesterday for the e-mail to reset the damn thing.

End of The Road How money became worthless.

Seriously though, if you’re into documentaries, this one is a good one:

It may not help you forget about your anger, but it will help you feel justified about your anger!

Cat Whisperer, I didn’t watch “Death by China”, but I lingered over the choice for a few moments before deciding to go with “Beauty is Embarrassing” instead. It was pretty good, not great. After seeing Crumb, I have a high bar for artist docs.

Auntie Pam, I am kind of obsessed with NYC right now, having moved here some months ago and falling in love with it on a whole new level now. I would like to see that doc, but I looked at all the choices on instant stream and didn’t notice anything like that.

Shakes, I think I may really like that one. I really enjoyed Park Avenue: Money, Power and the American Dream. I just found out that I get Thanksgiving off, so I will have another miraculous free day to lay around reading, drinking, eating Chinese Take Out and watching docs.
