I’ve got 2 computers running on my home network, both are using Windows XP (Home) with SP2 and are connected to a (wireless) router.
On my desktop computer, I’ve got 2 hard drives. One of them, the second one that holds nothing but video, I want to be able to access from my laptop over the network. Using the “Sharing” tab in properties, I set it up to share the folder over the network, and lo and behold, from my laptop, it shows up in Network Places. I can open the folder (which was shared as the root of the drive in question), traverse folders within, etc. The problem is, whenever I try to copy or open any file inside, I get an Access Denied error.
Did I miss some setting or option somewhere? I can traverse folders down as far as I can go, but I can’t open any actual files.
Thanks in advance!
