I thought this was a lot better than the last “Homer and Lisa try to reach an understanding episode” where they go through. . . gah! what’s that called? Sensory depravation? That doesn’t sound right, but you know what I mean, right?
It was fair. I expected Moe’s method of returning the crayon to Homer’s brain to a bit more violent.
Well, I was expecting homer to do it himself, and make himself even more stupid by getting two lodged in there.
And yes, it’s sensory deprivation.

And I thought Homer was dumb because of the Simpsons gene that only affects the male side of the family. “Continuity, what’s that??” 
But still, good episode. If I wanted to be negative, I’d go to alt.tv.simpsons.
Um… I’m still watching it… I’ll let you know. Though I keep missing funny parts cause of the internet!! D’oh!

I wondered that too Survery. As a matter of fact, tonite was the first time I haven’t heard one. (The second time they have a Nuclear plant scene, when Homer is smart.) Maybe that’s because they were playing music.
Was there any nasty jokes this episode? Or are they done pushing the censor’s buttons?

Seeing the commercials, I was expecting child homer to have put one crayon in his ear or something. Instead we get (and this is simply BEAUTIFUL…)

We’ll get this episode in about a month - we had the patrick mcgoohan/escape bubble/island episode last night.
(We got treehouse of horror XI for xmas - there’s something strangely appropriate about that…apart form me being away & missing it that is!)

“Is there no place in the world for a man with a 105 IQ?” Maybe that line answers the continuity question. 105 equals genius in the Simpson family. I laughed so hard when Davey & Goliath appeared that I didn’t even hear the gag. I also thought the whole crayon up the nose thing was brilliant. My snooty Ghandi-Little-Women watching wife even chuckled.
How about the couch gag? Was that Fry??
I loved Lisa’s graph of intelligence going up while happiness goes down. Hilarious.
