I read The Biggest Secret and enjoyed it immensely. Well-written, relentless pace, great bad guys but in the end I didn’t really believe a word of it.
I think the Jewish angle is a red herring when dealing with Icke. The bad guys aren’t Jewish, they’re aliens from the lower fourth dimension and they’ve been fucking with our minds for thousands of years.
One thing I always wondered though. These aliens - if they’re so technologically advanced and they want to take over the world, why didn’t they just turn up 4000 years ago with ray guns? They could have imposed any kind of society they liked.
Instead they provoke wars and crash planes into buildings (and do all the other bad things that happen in the world) but they don’t seem to be much closer to achieving world domination than they ever were.
To be honest I don’t mind being invaded by aliens (that would be quite cool in a way), but I do object to being invaded by really crap aliens that take 4000 years to become the almighty alien overlords of just one tiny little world.
That’s the problem with Icke’s theory - his aliens are too crap.

Y’know, there are various tours you can do in London - a Jack the Ripper tour, a famous buildings tour etc etc. Shortly after reading TBS I undertook a tour of my own, a David Icke tour. It’s amazing how many of the central sites of the conspiracy are in London:

No, it seems to contain “extensive links” to rambling insubstantiated claims. Often contradictory ones (No fighters scrambled. No wait! Twenty minutes. No, fourty! Hmm…). And all to stuff that, even if it were true (Ignoring, for the moment, the self-contradictory state that would result in), does not give evidence that it was a conspiracy conducted by the Bush administration. Nor does it explain away any of the very serious questions that would have to be answered is there were a conspiracy.
Really, how do you explain away all the big obstacles that would be in the way of this conspiracy you seem to love beyond all reason?
