You think you’re tempted.
Goddamn.
You think you’re tempted.
Goddamn.
He he he… Lemur, you been followin’ the first round moves in the other game?
Talk a big game, Shibb. I still say I outlast you.
You probably will, JC, so I gotta get my chuckles in while I still can.
So, Mr. Chance. We meet again. But THIS time, the advantage is MINE! I could shoot you right now, but first, let me explain my plan to destroy Italy…
JC, Shibb, why don’t you both just get it over with and cede to me? All you base are belong to Austria anyway. I’ll let you do it simutaneously, so there’s no winner or loser.
Hmmm… that sounds fair. Can I retire to the Alps and have all the Viennese coffee and Birneschnaps I can drink?
You know, Abe Babe, the more I think of it that has the makings of a splendid idea. I’ll just invite Jonathan Chance to meet in Vienna to discuss. How does noonish, Spring 1903 work for you?
Those interested in Game #2, post that clearly. I say we start it on Sept 17th. I’ll GM, who’s in?
I am most definitely interested in a game 2, whether it’s the aberration (hopefull I’ll last longer) or standard.
Are e-mails necessary?
Need I say that I am interested in game 2? I’d prefer a standard game, but I’m up for anything. Well, not anything. I mean. Well…you know what I mean. I hope.
I am interested in playing, as well. Weirddave, I thought i sent you an email, but i do not know if you got it.
So, here’s the story: Weirddave is hosting.

If 7 people sign up by game start, we will play a standard game. If we get 9 people by start, we will play Abberant. Anyone who thinks they might want to play, but don’t really know that this “Diplomacy” thing is all about can check out www.diplom.org for advice, strategy, maps, etc etc. I’m pretty sure that the rules are not legally available on the web, since they are the property of Hasbro. If you want a legal copy of the rules you will have to purchase a boxed copy of the game…I’ve occasionally seen copies at flea markets, etc. However, the rules are very easy to understand, if you are interested in the game but don’t have a copy of the rules, email one of us and we can explain everything.
Getting close…don’t miss your opportunity to play…
I have sent you an email, Dave. I also offered to GM if you would rather play.
No, I’m playing in 2 games right now. I’ll GM. Lemur’s last post is up to date, AFAICT
I think I’ll take a pass on this one. I’m not quite ready to commit to a game yet, especially if it starts just a week from now. And I’d really only be interested in a standard Dip game, so I figure between one thing and the other, I’ll just wait until next time.
I have a Non-Doper friends who would be interested. They haven’t played Diplomacy before, but our old D & D campaigns usually degenerated into backstabbing and pettiness, so I think they could pick it up nicely. It would be 3 or four people. One of them was Hungary in Weirddave’s last Diplomacy game. It would fill up the spots quite nicely, but it should probably go to dopers first.
What say you folks?
