Mully offers:
I was going to just do it myself, but it appears to be some sort of…uhm…caulking type…uhm…substance around the edges already. Since you started the job, why don’t you just go ahead and finish.
Can that stuff be sanded and painted?

There’s another new doper here too. Just got a cat named Arthur. He’s a 1 yr old tabby from the shelter. I’m more of a dog person, but our apts won’t let us have dogs, so we got a cat. He’s great so far, very cuddly and patient.
Jman
I got some advice for you Jman, be wary of your potentially changing feelings for cats. By that I mean you may grow to hate them.
I was in the same situation a few years ago - apartment - no dogs - cats ok. So I got a cat even though I wasn’t particularly fond of them. That little varmint was a friggin’ nightmare. Scratched me all the time. Would always climb the drapes. It would crawl under the couch at night a rip the hell out of it. Etc. The upshot? If I disliked cats before, I hate the little bastards now. I finally got a dog and I am eternally grateful that there are no more cats in my life.
Before all the cat lovers beat me up. I don’t hate cats to the point of hunting them down or anything. I would just never choose to own one ever again. I’ll be nice to yours if I’m ever over to your house.
Checking in o/b/o Daisy the golden retreiver, who is currently in Michigan with the rest of her family. I’ll be driving up to be with them tomrrow a.m. (which also marks my and Ms. D’s 15th anniversary.) 15 is still paper, ain’t it?
Yep, married 15 years, at least 2 or 3 happily.
(ducks and covers.)
