I’m not a fan of the nasty business woman either. It is cliche. I don’t likethe story arcs anyway. I just want my sci-fi Mayberry.
I liked the opener. Of course their blatant disregard for physics and even in-episode continuity will put some people off, but whatever. Some questions that arose while watching:
- Every other drone takes one viper shot and blows up, martha takes like 4 and keeps going, whats up with that?
- Speech recognition on an assault drone that is power hungry? Great idea!
- Couldn’t afford Glen Close for the evil she-suit?
- Henry seems to always be very moody, possibly a drug problem?
Episode rating: 7.5 out of 10. I’m sure things will improve. I notice that in most Tv shows, premiers and show finale’s tend to not be very good. It’s probably the pressure on the writers. The exceptions to the rule really are exceptional exceptions.
:: sigh:: Jo is such a hottie.
::sigh:: Allison is such a fox.
That really bugged me. The last season of The Dead Zone had one episode which was basically one huge credit card commercial… it’s a pretty clear sign that the show is having money problems.
I can’t remember- what happened to the dry cleaner love interest from last season?
That felt like a mid-season episode. I hope the producers weren’t expecting to grab a bunch of new viewers.
Vincent’s super freezer reminded me of Doctor Who’s Tartis. Just how big is the thing? But, I liked just figuring as a resident of Eureka, he’s a genius and I’m okay not knowing exactly how he can make any food in existence. Having it all in a freezer and micro-waving it just doesn’t seem right.
The writers missed an opportunity by letting that drone shut down S.A.R.A.H. and sneak into her home. It shouldn’t have been that easy. If there’s one thing S.A.R.A.H’s good at, it’s protecting her residents and we should have seen some AI vs. AI fun.
No kidding.
I know they want to add more conflict, now that Beverly is…{?} dead. But a bean counter, please.
