If hackers have that data, you can be sure the security agencies have it as well.
They trusted Parler to be secure because they claimed they were?
They uploaded their driver’s licences to an app promising privacy and anonimity?

Maybe this would be a good opportunity to do something about the Big Tech monopoly, now conservatives understand it has the ability to censor their own (actually still popular) ideas?
The issue obviously has nothing to do with “free speech” and everything to do with a company’s right to control its property or to access thereof. I saw a great explanation on Facebook that any right winger should be able to understand:
“Think of “Parler” as a Christian bakery, and then think of Trump as a Gay wedding cake.” LOL
I heard this morning(on reddit, so who knows) that Parler was hacked and most of the posts, videos, and even deleted posts were leaked out there onto the web.
Let’s hope:

Scroll up a bit; we have a couple of posts about the hack.
Y’know… If you’re creating an ultrarightwing, Trumpist social connection platform… Why in the world would you host it at AMAZON??? Like, Jeff #$*#∆ Bezos’ Amazon?
And man, their ID verifier was a free trial???
Very big brains.
My bold above. This incorrect, at least of android. I have used several android apps that are not on the Play Store, and when they required updates, the app would tell me that I needed to and provided the link to the download. You just have turn off install only trusted apps, and then you can install whatever you want on your android device. Yes, it is not as convenient as having the Play store do it for you, but if you are invested in having a particular app, it is not particularly burdensome to do so. I don’t know if the same is true for Apple though as I do not have any Apple devices.

Same for Apple, @icon. I do mobile game testing and I download apps outside of the Apple store all the time. Just gotta approve them in Settings.
Yes, true, but 95% of people who use smartphones will never tweak their phones and download and install apps from elsewhere. It’s too complicated for them…
… and this specific app is targeted at morons!
The right has a saying “Get woke, go broke.” We need something similar that expresses if you support a seditious attempted coup, then your business future might be in jeopardy.
I wonder if they have left up any posts calling for the execution of Biden, Harris or Pelosi?
The EXIF data not being wiped is weird. I wonder if something changed. I found this security analysis PDF from July 2020 that seems even-handed of Parler, but it did say (on page 30) that “Parler is extremely effective with their metadata wiping.” It then provides an example of a photo that was uploaded and then download back from their site and the change in EXIF data to basically nothing.
“Coup” rhymes with a lot of words. “Try coup, eat poo?”
I wonder if the EXIF data was only being wiped from file downloads, not from the files they were storing on their system.
If they wanted that data for other purposes, e.g. selling it to the Russians, they might want to keep it. Or maybe just laziness, if you don’t like conspiracy theories.
They have their own way to say “woke”, at least the Q-anon folks. They use the spelling as “WQKE” as the fur and horned guy in the capitol had in his car sticker.
“Get WQKE, go broke. Kek, kek!”
Incite it, bite it.
Don’t be a coup-coup.
Though if this goes the way of Parler->Parlor, it won’t work at all.
Support coups, you loose, you cooze!
Coup men enter, dumb men leave.
Stop the steal? Face the wheel!
“Violent mob, out of a job”?
