Here’s hoping it more resembles her mid-period stuff (Never For Ever, The Dreaming)–for me her later records are somewhat overproduced. But at this point, I’m happy for anything.
I’m glad that when she said 2005, she meant 2005, not early or mid-2006, or 2007.
“Why Should I Love You?” starts out so nice, with the Trio Bulgarka and all, then BAM! the Prince shit starts and ruins it. Had it been a Kate-only production, it would have been a lovely song.
Exciting news. Kate is approx my age and I was living in the UK (military assignment
back in 79-83) when she was so “Top of the Pops.” I loved her creativity, beauty and panache. I hope it’s REAL Kate Bush and not some marketing sellout.
My Goddess returns! The single, “King of the Mountain” is going to be played for the first time on BBC Radio Two’s Ken Bruce show between around 9.30 & 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday 21st September.
That show streams live but if you guys wouldn’t mind, don’t tune in so it doesn’t crash while I’m trying to listen. Thanks in advance!
I was telling a friend (who does not appreciate the Divine Kate) about the new release; she replied “You’ve been saying this for the past two years.” Me- “Yeah, but now it’s actually been officially announced!”
The song is going to be played live on BBC Radio 2 on the Ken Bruce show. In England it’s on at 9:30am. Here in Chicago it’ll be 3:30am. You bet we’re staying up for it!
Oh yeah, http://www.katebush.com has got a teaser page up now. It’s a useless Flash site for those without Flash, but for those with Flash, the little kid twirls around if you cursor over it.
