New KitKats!

Dark chocolate and white chocolate Kitkats!
And they are really freakin’ good too.
They are a promotion right now, but I wouldn’t mind them sticking around for a while.

Ah, it’s a promotional thing! I’ve only seen them in a few stores (7-11, believe it or not). I’ve had em both and they’re good. Hope the company decides to continue with them.

I saw these about a year ago, then they disappeared. They must be trying them out in different territories at different times. They were both definitely yummy. (There aren’t enought dark chocolate candy bars!)

Did they ever make peanut butter Kit Kats?

Not that I’m aware of, but it doesn’t sound like a bad idea!

I saw them at school earlier last September and then about a month ago they got them by my SO. They’re very good, but are kinda melty. Which is normal for chocolate, actually.

I first tried them last october. In fact I started a thread but I’m just no good at starting these things. The dark ones are really fun to pick apart.

There’s supposed to be orange ones too but I haven’t seen them.

NOOOOO!!!

They must never add peanut butter to KitKat!! Too many good candy bars have been thoroughly ruined with the addition of peanut products.

I think all companies should take a cue from Almond Snickers, and get rid of peanuts in their candy. Mmm, Reese’s Buttercups :D.

Over here, they briefly marketed Kit-Kats with fruit flavoring in the wafers. Strawberry was ok, pineapple was a miss, but the orange went rather well with the chocolate.

And as for Snickers, the Espresso Snickers being sold now are yummy.

Chunky KitKats…hmhmhmhm

Sorry, you were saying? Dark and white chocolate? Very good, very good.

Sorry love, I guess I didn’t search far enough back to see if this was already covered.
Out of shame and honesty I will admit I ate them to fast to even take the time to play with them and pick them apart.
But the good news is I have another reason to buy two more! Yeah, like I need another reason.

No reason to worry about it as even if you had seen it and saw the all of one other doper who posted to it you would have been forced to start a new thread on the topic anyway due to posting etiquette on bumping threads and the fact that the whole thing was only touched on. I just wanted to shake my fist in the general direction of doperdom and ask rhetorically “What happened?”
Anyhoo the white chocolate ones were always a little to soft to take apart properly. You just never got a nice clean bite of the chocolate on the edge and always ended up nipping a little bit of cookie. So those I would say just chew up. Or you could suck it like a lollypop. In fact that’d be the best way to draw out the pleasure. The dark chocolate ones came apart quite nicely.

Espresso… Snickers???
HOT DAMN! Wonder if these will ever make it overseas. Alas, I’d have to settle for a taste, being diabetic.

pout

Highly disappointed with these, I was.

I wanted almonds; the nuts. Not slivers. As the vending machine screw turned, I envisioned a peanut snickers, only instead of the peanuts, almonds. Maybe half-almonds, suspended in that thick, toothsticky caramel. Get a plastic knife, slice off inches of chocolate caramel almond nut suffocation at my desk, at intervals throughout the afternoon.

I got essentially a 3-musketeers nastyass fluff bar with almond dust on top. Bleah.

And rip-off a Mars bar? Whatever for? [Geezer Mode]I can remember when Mars bars had the almonds on the top of the bar! Not sliced up and slurried about the middle![/GM]

We just got the dark chocolate bars in today at the sandwich shop I work in. I’ll try one tomorrow and report back.
