Ooh, really?! Newman’s Own brand makes a dark-chocolate peanut butter cup, which is very good, but there is something about Reese’s Peanut Butter that no one else has been able to match. Dangit, I’m definitely stopping at the grocery store on the way home now! Thanks for the tip (I think)! 
The commercials I’ve seen advertise both a white chocolate and a dark chocolate Reese’s.
I am a MAJOR dark chocolate person.
Milk chocolate is merely a pale (HA) substitute.
The Dark Reeses Peanut Butter Cups were…kinda bleh. Not bleagh, or bleeaargh, just…bleh.
I was underwhelmed.
I like white chocolate chip & macadamia cookies, but white chocolate in a Reese’s cup? Bleah!

Some years ago (1999?) I stumbled across a bin of them in a candy store in Big Bear Lake, California. I’ve been keeping an eye out for them since, but have yet to find any more.
I’m well aware that white chocolate is not really chocolate, but I don’t really care what it’s called - I happen to like it a lot.
My wife and I are polar opposites here: I hate dark chocolate, finding it unpleasantly bitter. The lighter it gets, the happier I am, with white “chocolate” being the sublime end result of that progression.

Dark chocoloate Reeses DO exist, porcupine!!! They (along with the white chocolate ones) are part of a “limited edition” thing being done by Reeses. I tried BOTH white and dark chocolate the other day, and found them both to be pretty good. Trust me, the white chocolate isn’t as horrible as you’d think.
Oh god. White chocolate, regular chocolate, dark chocolate. Any kind for me, any shape, form, combination… Whatever. I must get these new Reeses.
Good grief. I am on a the Atkins diet. ANY chocolate sounds like scrumptious idea to me. And I am salivating at the thought of a Reese’s cup smothered in white chocolate. MMMM…
I must disagree. I thought the Dark Chocolate Reeses were top-drawer; better than the normal Reeses.
The White Chocolate Reeses, however, were Satan’s own feces. Bleh.
I’ll bet they taste pretty good. Don’t knock what you haven’t tried.
