I find white chocolate disgusting and completely unsatisfying on all levels. So no, I will not try the Reese’s version.
I like dark chocolate, strong coffee, red wine – you get the picture. White chocolate is a complete waste of calories to me.

Now, several years ago Reese’s put an Oreo cookie (just one cookie, not the whole creme sandwich) at the bottom of the cup.
I only saw it in SC, and I haven’t seen it since.
Did I hallucinate the whole thing?
Yet another chocolate fundamentalist who believes in the inerrancy of the Chocolate Manifesto. Contrary to what you have been taught all your life, White Chocolate is a Gift From The Gods.
The idea of compromising the purity of White Chocolate with peanut butter is an abomination.
I’m still pissed that they got rid of the crunchy ones.
I had another one last night. Evidently the first one had been melted in shipping and gotten that “ick” taste that chocolate can pick up if allowed to get hot near something smelly.
The second one was MUCH better. And, yes, better than the original.
White chocolate tastes much like the paper used to wrap it. Calling it chocolate is like calling the recipient of an honorary PhD Doctor. It is a compliment, but none of the qualifications have been met.
I saw both of them at WalMart a couple of nights ago.
Yes, I know, WalMart is EVIL, but they are close by and they are cheap.
I don’t much like dark chocolate but I did consider trying the white chocolate ones. I suspect the dark chocolate would work better, though.
Oh boy, do I have news for you, Ashkicker. They now have SUGAR FREE REESES! I haven’t tried them myself yet (I’m on Atkins also) but I’ve heard they are excellent as long as you don’t eat too many. From what I’ve read, they have an interesting “laxative side-effect”.
As for white chocolate, it doesn’t even taste like real chocolate to me. More like slightly chocolate flavored white candle wax.
Bleech.
I like white chocolate, even though it doesn’t taste like chocolate. It tastes GOOD, just not chocolate.
Now, milk chocolate…
Bring back Crunchy Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Greywolf73, I’ve had the Sugar-Free Reese’s. They taste slightly different than regular Reese’s (very similar to a Tastykake Peanut Butter Kandy Kake without the kake) but do satisfy when you have a chocolate craving. I believe 5 of the mini, bite-size ones come out to 25% saturated fat, so that’s usually my limit (much to my chagrin). No laxative effect yet.
I love both white chocolate and dark chocolate. Unfortunately, the local Walgreen’s had only the dark version. I tried it and I must confess that it seems a bit wrong. I’ll definitely try the white choco version if I find it. Oddly enough, they also had the dark chocolate Kit Kats back in stock, but again, not the white version. I thought both the white and dark Kit Kat variations were great.
