New Kitty! (Wanna suggest names?)

As long as his minion continues to post pictures often, the name matters not-he’ll let her know his name soon enough.

I vote for Tenebreux, from “El Desdichado” by Gerard de Nerval. He’s dark, but perhaps not brooding, and certainly a prince among cats.

I had a black Poly years ago, her name was Foot-Foot or Footie for short.

Legal claws

“Footie”?

:bulb:

Naylor or Nailer, for Hall of Fame footy player Bernie Naylor.

I had a kitten years ago who was temporarily named Attractive Nuisance.

– actually it wasn’t all that temporary, he wound up with a very long name, and that remained part of it.

I like Monkeyshines.
There are lots of Monkeys. You could pick a particular one.
I mean, obviously Orangutan wouldn’t work.
‘Koko’ after the sign talking gorilla. I had a cat named Cocoa.
Rhesus- Reece
Lemur
Chimp
Spider- I had a pug named Spider.
My first boyfriend in 3rd grade was ‘Stanley’ nah. He was creepy.
I always fancied the name ‘Sailor’ for something. A Sailor has never presented himself to me, as a pet.

How about ‘Bean’ as in black bean.

Shandy

As in Tristram Shandy.

Hmmmm. I think New Kitty looks rather like a Cocoa.

(Except that now suddenly the word Cocoa has gone all weird and looks strange. Though come to think of it cats also go all weird from time to time – )

You could also make it Cacoa, which sounds rather like something a cat would say.

Probably more likely than “trout trout”: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/566398090627829534/

Yogi, for Yogi Berra. His paws look like catchers mitts.

@purplehorseshoe

Feeling the need for more pictures first chance you get.

Something about clicking on his new collar made it seem “official” in my brain. Like he was just camping out here for a bit - he became mine in that instant.

I was expecting some struggles but he accepted the collar with zero fuss, and seems not to notice it’s there. (Hmm … having known someone whose Bengal loved his harness and leash, I may experiment with same.)

I found a reflective collar, in the hopes of minimizing future sitting-upon or tripping-over … and on a side note, I’m realizing suddenly how much I gravitate towards dark-colored sheets!

Re: pics. Gimme a few, I gotta fire up the laptop.

I fostered a lovely orange marmalade gentleman kitty for a year or so who arrived with a harness and leash. He loved being walked outside. I made sure it went with him when he went to his new forever home. It was quite a sweet sight.:cat2:

Collar does have an elastic release, right?

Don’t want kitten hanging himself while you’re not looking.

(If you walk him on a lead, yes, go for a harness then.)

Slim Shady.

Zazzy.

In French the word for “thumb” is “la pouse.”

Tabitha

La pouce is “thumb.”

You could call your feline “poussez”, which means “push.” And sounds like "pussy.’

Or confuse the poor dear with a name like “souris” (mouse).
