New Kitty! (Wanna suggest names?)

Shadowcat (I’m sure Marvel won’t sue)

DC, after Damn Cat Randall (bowdlerised to “Darn Cat” by Disney)

Uh, no? “Thumb” in French is le pouce.

[Le petit] poucet (note the correct spelling) you could translate as “Tiny”.

Uh, yes. Le pouce.

There is also “le pet” which can mean thumb, fart, or whack/wallop.

So how about petomane (pet of mine)?

Luckily cats are very seldom flatulent, but it’s smelly if they are!

When naming pets, I always ask myself, “If it got out, and I had to run around the neighborhood yelling this, would anyone think I was crazy?” Poussez, doesn’t pass the test for me. LOL!

Clawdius.

… name was Foot-Foot …

That’s amazing. The Shaggs My Pal Foot Foot was where I got the name Foot Foot. I heard the song on the Alex Bennett Show on the radio in San Francisco.

Very true. A year and a half ago I got a cat with what looks like half a 'tash on her face. The obvious name was not one I could call out at night:

“Hitler! Hitler!”

Since she is black and white, I named her after a well-known of drink that features two dogs, of different colors. Now, when I call her in at night, people just think I am a desperate alcoholic.

“Whisky, whisky!”

Congrats to both of you! Lucky lady, lucky kitty.

I nominate “Willis”.

Hi, @purplehorseshoe. How’s he doing? Keeping you too busy to weigh in?

Watchoo talkin’ bout?

He’s beautiful! My ideas:
Pounce
Pepe le Pew (sp?)
How about something eye-related since they are so large? Ideas:
Flying Saucer
Iris
Hazel
CleopatrO

my stepdad had a lovablely rotten kitten … so he names him satan… and he ran outside when it was way to late for him to go outside one night …and we had devout mormon neighbors …and guess who was sneaking around the hood at 1:30 am trying to quietly call out "here satan come here " and such and the lady of the house heard me funny thing is the little #$@#@#@# turned around and ran back in the house but she got used to me looking for him she just shook her head … …funny thing tho i think the lady took him with her when she moved a few months later

In Danish, mitten is vante or luffe. I had a cat named Luffe once upon a time, early seventies, I think.
She was polydactyl and black.

Presumably a name has been chosen by now. Who won?

Ussy with a P :smiley_cat:

I’m starting to get a bit worried that maybe something has happened to the cat.

(The OP has been posting in other threads, so presumably is at least OK enough to post.)
