We talked about his name last night, and came up with Chamberlain (when he growls, he sounds like a Dark Crystal Skeksis) but that didn’t stick. I’m not too happy with Cuthbert. I think he’ll be Weyland, and his nickname is officially Monster (as in: purr monster). On of our other cats is nicknamed Monkey, so this should fit in nicely.
He slept on A’s arm last night for about four hours, then he played for two or three on my head, then passed out again as A got up for work. Good thing little ones are so cute, or we’d kill them.
he doesn’t do this so much anymore, but the first winter eddie was with us, he liked to sleep under the covers at the small of my back. nothing quite captures how startling it can be to roll over and realize there’s something small, stabbity and bitey underneath you.
he seemed to feel bad after that, though - came up and nuzzled me and slept by my head instead, purring like mad.
Oh, what a pretty boy! I’m a sucker for a little yellow cat, and IMO foundlings always make the best pets. (Hence my Life Partner, Snuggles.) Congratulations on the new sweet baby, and enjoy the heck out of his kittenhood.
