I love orange boys and would pick one, if I ever had the opportunity pick my cats. They usually have great personalities. But cats just find me and I have no say in the matter. I have only gotten to pick one so far.

He showed up on my parents deck, hungry and affectionate.
They can only have two cats due to city regulations, so they offered to pay for his care and
feeding if we take him in. They took him to their vet who pronounced him FIV and F-Leu negative, and partially vaccinated him. He’s between 12 and 16 weeks old, unaltered. No fleas, worms or ear mites. Got a bit of a sore on his leg that might be infected, so I’m going to take him to our vet tomorrow and get it cleaned up and transfer his records over.
Got him home, fed him and watered him. Gave him some litter and he ran to it and peed like he’d been holding it all day. Whee.
He’s gotten used to the dog unless she makes a sudden movement, then it’s like “holy crap what is that huge thing?”.
Jake (the younger of our two other cats) is NOT happy. He just growls and hisses pretty much constantly. He’ll get over himself, I’m sure, and they’ll be sleeping in the sink together in no time. Tank (the older cat) doesn’t care, as long as she gets wet food on a regular basis (which is too often for me, and not often enough for her). The dog just averts her eyes as she knows that small furry things inside the house are not for eating.
His name is an everchanging thing. It’s gone from Sprint (my mom’s name) to Weyland Yutani, to Cuthbert to Chamberlain back to Cuthbert. He looks kind of Mayan (flat nose) so we’re looking for something Mayan-esque to name him.
