Help me name my kitten! ("Kitty pictures?" But of course!)

As I’ve mentioned in a few threads already, last Saturday we put Scooby to sleep. He was sick, old (11ish), and it was his time.

Tuesday I took our chow Doc to the vet’s office. The vet’s office had free kittens. I am weak. :frowning: . . . :smiley:

Anywho, I picked out this little fella. For the last day or so, I have been calling himChairman Meow II” in remembrance of Chairman Meow the First, who has gone on to better places (I like the name. It’s funny. What?).

Unfortunately, this lovely little devil :wink: does not seem like a Chairman Meow. Quite frankly, he is entirely too laid back for world domination. So we must find him a new name.

He is spunky. Needy (but in his defense, he is a 6 week old baby). Anal retentive*. And absolutely adorable.

I like funny names (hence the Chairman Meow) or at the very least different or cool names. Any ideas on what to name my new buddy?

*I laid a towel out- perfectly folded- for him to lay on. He then took each corner, quite carefully, and pulled it just right into the middle of the towel. He made himself a tent. Then he tried to drag my pillow into his tent, but it was too heavy :smiley: .

:eek: I’d call him, “Sir.”

How about, “Spunky?”

If you give him a couple of days, he may let you know what his name is. Or it may just “come to you” as my Crickets did.

Very cute cat. How about ‘Ginger’?

::drool::
::incoherent babbling baby talk::

Ohhhhhhhh wookit the widdle baaaaaybee hes so kyoooote isn’t hims?

I have no idea on name. But…

::sigh::

God I love kittens.

sigh. i must confess. i would’ve been weak, too … :smiley: How adorable !
for some reason Augustus, shortened to GusGus keeps coming into my mind.

Fuzzy Buddy.

Damn you, Diosa! Now I’m pining for a baby kitten. My husband looked at your pics and was giggling like a schoolgirl saying, “Look at those lugs! Look at his paws! He’s a fuzzball!” Now he wants to trade our fully-grown and unfun Norm and Mojo in for a couple kittens.

The first thing that came to mind was not a name, but “Awwww…” Probably not a suitable name. I love the ones where his little tail is sticking straight up! How cute!

I think Oliver would be a great name. Or maybe Murray.

I am sorry about Scooby, the picture of him on the window sill is one of my favorite dog pictures.

AWWWWWWWWWWE! I love your new baby! And you are such a good Doper for posting pictures (others, learn from this!).

Hmmm, names . . . names . . .names . . .

Prince Valiant
Mr. Bean
Howie

I have no clue. Good luck with your new baby!

I’m going with Pixisis, and GUS is a definite name for your baby.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Yay new kitty post with pictures in the OP!

He looks like a Jackson for some reason, but that isn’t particularly clever.

widdle iddy biddy kittums ooo’s so cyoot yesums are!
What?

My hubby suggested “Moggy” which is UK slang for cat.

I know you’re looking for funny names, but I just can’t think of any. I like to give names that I like, but would never burden my future child with. Hence, “Norman.”

What about:
Walter
Clancy
Ralphie
Alfred
Harold
George
Albert

And of course: CECIL

He’s so cute! I always find that the name just comes along after a few days. What ever you find yourself calling him, that’s his name.

I read this as, “He looks like a *Jackass *for some reason…” Talk about doing a double take.

See, people, this is how you do kitten posts. Take notice.

Niblet. His name shall be Niblet. I read that name from some other poster right here on our boards and have loved it ever since - next cat I get will be called Niblet.

Niblet. Learn it, love it, live it.

And he’s adorable.

Somehow I picture the (adorable) kitty fixing up his little tent and I call him ‘Jeeves’. :slight_smile:

Must… Resist… Urge… To… Look… At… More… Pictures!

That is perhaps the ugliest kitten evar!

Awww…what a cute little fluffball! How absolutely adorable! Especially that little tail sticking up. continues babbling babytalk

As far as a name, I have no idea. But what an irresistable kitten!
