Not really sure of etiquette here yet, but it seems normal on these type of forums to buy a virtual round of drinks.

So…

virtual card is behind virtual bar… have a drink on me

I’ll start off - large malt please, barbot.

Welcome to our playground. Main etiquette rule is “Don’t be a jerk.”

Second etiquette rule, nearly as important, is “FairyChatMom is to be revered, pampered, and accorded all due courtesies.”

No, really - it’s in The Rules! I promise! I wouldn’t lie!

I’ll have a tall ice water, please. Alcohol makes me sleepy.

Welcome! Seeing as how it’s 9:51am EST, I’ll have an iced coffee.

Many thanks.

Oh. I thought maybe you grew a new arm or something.

Welcome here Dragon60. If you’re buying  I’ll take a tankard of rum.

FairyChatMom missed the amended second rule. It now reads:
FairyChatMom is to be revered, pampered, and accorded all due coutesies while she is present but members are free to slander, put down, insult, and say not nice things when she is absent.”

That’s what happens when you miss meetings FairyChatMom. The motion passed by one vote

<Note to self - add Greenback to The List…>

:stuck_out_tongue:

Ahhh, now I understand… you’re all mad as fish !!!

I’ll fit in rather nicely then

/ditzy blonde hat on

I never knew fish were mad.
They don’t swim all crazy like…

/ditzy blonde hat off

Welcome Dragon60! A Bailey’s will do, on the rocks please.

I see you’re a musician, what instruments do you play?

Hi Dragon60!! Tell me all about Bath, England. I’ve never known anyone from Bath. We have a Bath County here in Kentucky, named for its many medicinal springs and resorts. One, Olympia Springs, was the site of a skirmish between the federal calvary and rebel troops in October 1863, during the Civil War.

I’ll have a tall glass of sweet ice tea, just to make you crazy. :stuck_out_tongue:

Welcome!

green_bladder,

I play anything brass, keyboards (very badly) and drums. I am a published composer and arranger of music for brass bands, and conduct a brass band in Evesham, England. I play drums (as well as tuned percussion - timpani, xylophone etc) and am the drummer in a sort of Rhythm’n’Blues-type band, called “The Awful Truth” (who will be playing at Radstock festival at the end of Aug, and at Glastonbury 2004)

Ellen,

Bath is just sort of the place I ended up. I was in the forces and was posted near Bath. I liked the area and bought a house in Corsham, Wilts (which is about 6 miles from Bath).

Bath is a very picturesque Georgian City with some lovely architecture (my girlfriend has a flat in a large town house high up on the hill on the North of the city, with spectacular views, and some very nice watering holes within walking distance).

Despite having lived here since 1989, I only saw Royal Crescent for the first time last month!! I s’pose what they say about “only tourists visiting places” is true. I have never been to the Roman Baths, although I have had a meal and drink in the Pump Rooms (which is very expensive and a bit posh). I guess what I’m trying to say is that I can’t really tell you anything about Bath that is not on tourist-type websites, except where the places I like to drink/eat are. If you’re going to visit, PM me and I’ll give you a list

I was so tempted to edit the previous message so that your post didn’t make sense any more… in fact I just might;)

By the way, they disabled the ‘edit post’ feature so you won’t be able to edit any of your posts. It’s in the FAQ. Assuming you were serious, of course

I know, I wasn’t serious ( hence the  ). I read the FAQ before I posted. The OP about “etiquette” didn’t mean board usage, just the informal way of doing things.

Be welcome. Enjoy your stay.

Welcome cousin!

Remember…mind your p’s and q’s

welcome, thanks for the Verbena Iced Tea… and Cheers!

Welcome, and about those p’s and q’s…best to mind all spelling and grammar here. There are those who react, shall we say, in an extreme fashion, to anything less than perfect English.

And, if you would be so kind, I would love a Bookers Bourbon on Ice.

Nice to meet another musician
