Yuck. Biker Thor with leathers and motorcycle policeman boots. It’s like they wanted to slap as much black leather and black rubber on him as possible. The classic Thor costumeis almost nowhere to be seen. His yellow tiger stripe boots are classics.
Covering up his arms is also (IMO) kind of a pussy move.
It looks like YuppieThor in a Brooks Brothers suit.

Not good. His costume should look a lot less modern, and handcrafted.
It is kind of “suity”.
The costume isn’t that bad but the hammer is way too small.
Obviously you don’t want the classic comic book Thor costume, but the solution is to go in the direction of period Viking. That’s way too costume-y.
It looks too clean and streamlined. I hope they dirty it up.
Personally, I would have preferred the Ultimate costume.

Something about the glowing hammer with that costume and beard makes it look like they’re remaking Repo Man, but with truckers.
That’s actually very close to Thor’s current costume (including the covered up arms with the leaf-mail type stuff).
I hate the boots though. Give him leather/fur boots and I’m ok with the costume.
The boots should be wrapped leather thongs, not pirate boots with sneaker soles.

and that hammer looks like it woudl shatter if you hit anything with it.
See here for a pic of his current outfit (which I prefer. Kirby’s was too super-hero-y. This new version is a great compromise, keeping the good stuff from Kirby but looking a little less “1964-ish”)
Why does Cap look so much huskier and muscle-bound than Thor? That ain’t right!
I agree. This costume looks too much like Judge Dredd. Thor shouldn’t look futuristic.
And the hammer should be bigger. It shouldn’t look like a one-handed tool.
The lack of helmet I can see. The wings are probably one of those things that look good in a comic book but just don’t work in real life.

First of all, why don’t I want the classic comic-book Thor costume? Secondly, why is it obvious that I don’t want it?
Of course I want it. I also want Thor to be clean-shaven. And I always thought of him as just wearing a sleeveless shirt. The implication that a god needs armor strikes me as somewhat blasphemous.
If the character is indeed the mythical god of thunder (trapped in a mortal body) rather than some mortal that just gets imbued with his power, the costume looks to contemporarily stylized to me.
I very much want to see something akin to godly-dressed viking. The garb should look like it has been around for millennia. Iron, not plastic. Some indication of old-world clasps, knots or buckles.
