The only Johnny DC title I read is Justice League Unlimited, which has the most adorable letter page. We’re mostly collecting them for our future children. However, DC’s website shows solicitations for Issues 51, 52, and 53. These issues appear to be introducing a bunch of other Teen Titans outside of the original five, so I think they’re taking the JLU approach of using a much larger pool of characters to tell their stories.
Oh, I misunderstood your question. I doubt Cartoon Network plans to resurrect the show. They only cancelled it because they felt they had enough episodes to keep them in reruns forever. Same with JLU. It wasn’t that they weren’t popular.
The comic is a separate entity from the show, so one staying alive while the other gets cancelled isn’t really related.
Making it “Unlimited” would completey ruin it. It destroyed JL, for sure. It was much more fun watching a limited number of characters interact–more time for character development (no, really!) and funny lines. Hell, even Superman is funny on JL!
I liked JLU better too. It’s fun when they can mix in some more obscure characters, or have a giant, 25-character free-for-all. That’s a show that could have run 10 years, easily.
