I do subscribe to the sims resource. I like the objects and I have generally had good luck with them.
The holiday stuff pack at least had santa visits and new food to cook. The family fun pack did not have a much. It may have had more to contribute if you did not have all the expansions. I think that some of the game elements from some of the expansions were included with the ffp.
I have not been down loading many objects of late. We have been concentrating on getting the next generation ready for college. We have several sets of twins, some of them green!

Ah, yes. Chuck Jones’s masterpiece Duck Amuck. I love his little soliloque he says to himself while in this mode, not realizing he’s been changed: “It’s not that I’ve been living up to my contract- Goodness knows it isn’t that…”
I ended up going with a six month subscription to TSR. And boy, am I addicted to downloading stuff. It’s going to bite me in the ass when something crashes the game and I have to figure out which of the objects is causing it. Some of the stuff out there is simply amazing, much better even than Maxis has done. Already the game takes forever to load.
If I feel the urge to shop, I just download some stuff from the Sims Resource. It eases the urge and sim bric-a-brac is easier to store, and the clothes always fit.
