NEW! Speak to me in Movie quotes

You ask how to fight an idea. I’ll tell you how. With another idea.

Behind this mask there is more than just flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea… and ideas are bulletproof.

-“BB”-

I’ll wear this mask until justice has been dealt to the last murderer and outlaw.

Oh, no, it’s just that they’re terribly comfortable. I think everyone will be wearing masks in the future.

It’s times like this it occurs to me that we were lied to by ‘The Jetsons.’ According to that show we were suppose to be tooling around in flying cars by now. You see any flying cars lately? That’s the problem with TV, it always lies to us.

You’ve got to say, ‘I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!’ Then we’ll figure out what to do about the depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: “I’M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!”

It’s outrageous. My pay can’t possibly keep up with inflation.

Government do take a bite, don’t she?

Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight I want to ask you for the most precious thing you own: your vote.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, from what was once an inarticulate mass of lifeless tissues, may I present a cultured… sophisticated… man about town! Hit it!

Lieutenant Hurwitz [singing]: You’ll be swell, you’ll be great. Gonna have the whole world on a plate. Startin’ here, startin’ now. Honey, everything’s comin’ up roses…

Suppose you’re thinkin’ about a plate o’ shrimp. Suddenly someone’ll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o’ shrimp out of the blue, no explanation.

Swordfish!

But I’m telling you, and I’m telling everybody at this table that that’s a shark! And I know what a shark looks like, because I’ve seen one up close. And you’d better do something about this one, because I don’t intend to go through that hell again!

So, eleven hundred men went into the water, three hundred sixteen men come out, and the sharks took the rest, June the 29th, 1945.

Seven. Lieutenant Zip died this morning.

Theirs not to make reply. Theirs not to reason why. Theirs but to do or die. Into the valley of death rode the six hundred.

I’ve tried living down in the valley again, really tried this time. Walked up and down it looking for one open face, but most people I’ve meet hardly seem like human beings to me anymore.

You’ve got to climb Mount Everest to reach the Valley of the Dolls. It’s a brutal climb to reach that peak. You stand there. Waiting for the rush of exhilaration; but, it doesn’t come. You’re alone and the feeling of loneliness is overpowering.

On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when add up all those inches, that’s gonna make the fucking difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!
