Exactly!
This bodes well going forward. Even though the Republicans have packed the courts with conservative judges they may not have packed them with partisan judges.

That’s been my favorite one I’ve seen. Unfortunately, his supporters cannot be swayed since they have already developed a Turd Mentality:
All 3 of them.
“…to…Iron Balls McKenzie.”

But remember who the Lincoln Project is – anti-Trump Republicans. They actually think the party may be viable going forward if they just get rid of everyone who supported Trump.
Would that leave enough Republicans to collect ballot-access signatures?
Exactly. They seem to think that naming the most egregious offenders will allow the “real” GOP to re-emerge as a legitimate force. The rest of us can see that Trump is the face of the real GOP, and won’t be ready to check that R box for a few elections at the very least.
Sane and non-corrupt Republicans sounds like a fine thing to hope for. I would be happy if we could return to an era of disagreeing over policy. So, sure, cleanse the party of all things Trump, and welcome the rest of them back to the public square.
All 3 of them.
I’m thinking, like an unprofitable corporation, the Republican party needs the political equivalent of a vulture capitalist to take it over and spin off the bad parts into their own separate parties* leaving the kernel behind to carry on the name. Kind of like Kodak or Craftsman Tools.
*Rapture is Coming Party, Forrest was Right Party or Springtime for Hitler Party come immediately to mind. Truth-in-Labeling.
. . . the Republican party needs the political equivalent of a vulture capitalist to take it over . . .
Which is pretty much just what Trump did. And just like any vulture capitalist, he gutted the corporation for his own self-interest, totally corrupt in Trump’s case. But, as is Trump’s established practice, he also did it just as incompetently as he did with his casinos and other ventures, leaving the party with a questionable future now. (ETA: This post probably would have fit better in the Clusterfuck thread.)
A guy posted on his Facebook page today where he admitted that he voted 300 times. He said he voted for the Republicans. So people are reporting him to the FBI and the Michigan Attorney General. He deleted his post, but people still have copies of the posting and are using it to send their reports.
Ten bucks says that he did not actually do this, and he’s simply a lying sack of shit.

Eleven bucks says he’ll be admitting that fact to the authorities in between snivels and sobs.
What concerns me is that the Republican Party will lose so much cachet that they will go into steeper decline, until they are truly marginal. That sounds like a delightful thing on the face of it, but consider, the largest 3rd-party vote-getter in the last several elections has been the Glibertarian Party, which, in real-world terms, offers exactly the same tear-down agenda as the Republican Party.
The Glibertarians (“classical liberals”) can put up a much more palatable, less crazy-stupid appearance that would be appealing to more people, yet underneath, they are just as cancerous to the health and stability of the country. The same anathema, just hard to fight against.

Except that they emphatically reject most of the bluenose social-conservative agenda (with the partial exception of abortion, where they have factions on both sides), and thus can’t share a tent with the Talibornagain faction of the (former?) GOP.
Refer again to the arguments made in this thread (especially the responses). Social policy is highly dependent on economic policy. The economic policy advocated by the Glibertarians would have damaging effects to the social fabric of the country, in ways that we can only guess at (Somalia?).

It’s my impression that the Glibertarian view is that social fabric doesn’t have any business actually existing as a thing that can be pointed at and described…

“Dear Leader does it all the time so why can’t I?”
“You ain’t rich enough, kid.”

For varying definitions of rich.
Rudy Guiliani is on the case, ready to reach into his legal briefs and whip out his subpoenis:
The Trump lawyer has alleged ‘massive cheating’ in the battleground state
A crowd tried to storm the Detroit Convention Center, demanding that the count stop
The demonstrations come after President Trump filed a lawsuit in Michigan to stop the count
