NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

For a while there, I almost felt like this was something being played on the American people, that Trump and Biden got together in private and had a laugh about how they’re pulling a good one on us. Now I’m not so sure.

Exactly. They seem to think that naming the most egregious offenders will allow the “real” GOP to re-emerge as a legitimate force. The rest of us can see that Trump is the face of the real GOP, and won’t be ready to check that R box for a few elections at the very least.

(Checks, verifies it’s the Pit) What the fuck are you talking about?

Politics is corrupt. My statement reads as is. I no longer believe this, I think they’d like to punch one another.

I’m confused how you could have ever believed it. What possible common ground do you see between the two? Or is this just the incredibly lazy “all politicians are crooks and we’re all getting scammed” argument popular among unemployed stoners?

I didn’t believe it for long. Maybe the fact I’m unemployed did it, as I am not a stoner.

OK, I’ll cut you some slack, then. Having been there myself, I know how the negativity can fester. And I was a stoner!

I don’t know who this is referring to, but this implies death row inmates support those in favor of the death penalty.

Sane and non-corrupt Republicans sounds like a fine thing to hope for. I would be happy if we could return to an era of disagreeing over policy. So, sure, cleanse the party of all things Trump, and welcome the rest of them back to the public square.

To me, this describes the difference between the “what” (policy) and the “how” (tactics to achieve: ruthless in the pursuit of power, lie, suppress votes, etc.). Who is going to decide which camp they belonged to when the sorting begins?

I don’t believe ANY state declares a winner on election day. Individual 1 apparently thinks the fake news is a definitive result.

Have you seen the one where they flat out call Trump a turd sandwich?

Considering how he lashes out at pretty much ANYONE who criticizes him, how has the Lincoln Project avoided it? I think I remember hearing about a dismissive tweet, but this should be bringing down the wrath from his tiny fingers!

Watching that was a beautiful experience. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m glad that it lifted your spirits. I can’t wait, tomorrow morning I am going to use my Democratic voice to cast an official ballot supporting Trump’s opposition! Tomorrow is going to KICK ASS!

So, you’re saying you’re all out of bubble gum?

Cross-posted from the Clusterfuck thread because it’s relevant here and probably in other threads too!

Yeah, but they’re arguing before a federal court today, and the live feed of the arguments was cut off for reporters.

If I read that article right, that federal court is exactly where the lawsuit was tossed out today! That’s Judge Hanen we’re talking about. I’m not talking about the state supreme court, which happened last week.

I heard that the judge wasn’t real pleased with having this dumped in his lap the day before election day.

Which goes to show that even rabidly partisan judges can think twice about cases that are designed to deteriorate the reputation of the judiciary.
