Reality is AI, AI is reality.
Slumming on Fox news I learned that we on the left (who apparently are losing our minds about this) are wrong to say that this indicates that Trump doesn’t know that Penguins aren’t in Greenland. Instead the origin of this image is a right wing meme
For days, TikTok and Instagram have been flooded with a clip of a solitary penguin trudging toward distant mountains. The footage comes from Werner Herzog’s 2007 Antarctic documentary “Encounters at the End of the World.” In the film, Herzog shows a lone penguin peeling away from the safety of its colony and heading inland — toward certain death, according to Herzog.
But the online right saw something else. Users (mostly male) saw the penguin as a powerful rebuke of secular modernity. They interpreted the penguin not as lost, but as a free thinker. To them, he was rejecting the colony. In today’s terms, that means rejecting secular postmodern orthodoxy and marching toward a greater purpose.
So the real message of the post is that in an insane rejection of conventional wisdom Trump and all who follow him are marching towards certain death.
OK, I accept the correction.
Take a look at those footprints… Apparently, Trump has smaller feet than the penguin.
Small hands, small feet and a small dick.
And yet he manages to step on it constantly.
“Trump said, ‘Lord, when I decided to follow you, you promised you’d be with me all the way. Why is there only one set of footprints in the sand at the times when I needed you the most?’
“And the Lord said, ‘Are you fucking kidding me with this shit you’ve been pulling? You’re on your own., fuckface.’”
Just to be clear, here: The Lord is the penguin?
It’s a riff on the Christian prose poem.
I just saw a comic with the penguin and trump walking away from us, and then the penguin walking back alone, with a flag in one wing and a shovel in the other.
And in the caption, the penguin says: It’s Done.
Is “sicko fan” what the person actually said or wrote, or is it what a CNN reporter heard and wrote, or is it what AI captions wrote?
Either works, really.
My assumption is the latter. Because phonetically it sounds pretty much the same, and AI probably isn’t sophisticated enough to infer properly from context.
It’s not really a stupid republican idea, though, because the unnamed official is speaking out against Noem.
And to be fair, she is a sicko fan.
This is more of a recycled stupid Republican idea than a new one.
And what kind of campaign performances are they treating the locals to?
Honestly, I had to flip a coin to decide if to put this post in this thread or the one for evil mfers.
For sure just about everything the Rs have been up in recent decades are simply evil. Especially the TX Rs.
Chuck Grassley: ICE? Never heard of it. I’m just a naive farm boy ignorant of such high-falutin’ big city matters.
Igor Bobíc, senior politics reporter at HuffPost, posted on X that he tried asking Grassley whether it is appropriate for Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to enter an American citizen’s home without a judicial warrant. Last week, the Associated Press reported that ICE officers have been told they have the legal authority to enter people’s homes without a warrant, sparking outrage from legal experts.
“Ask a constitutional lawyer,” said Grassley, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee. “I’m a farmer.”
