NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 4)

Plenty of people have used the word “equalizing” before, but that didn’t stop Trump from claiming to have coined it.

We’ve gone from Ad Astra per Aspera to our new motto: Est ad UFC mollis e Domus Alba (there’s an easy path from the White House to the UFC)

Yeah. The deal apparently is this year “summery” conditions got to DC rather early even for the Climate Change Age, so the bugs are out in force early too. Geographically it IS a swampy location.

It likely is ‘either or’—either swarms of gnats, OR rains heavy enough to suppress them for a while. Plus lightning!

Should be quite Biblical.

Perhaps Pepe the Frog can invite a few hundred cousins…

Awaiting reporting on how many DC residents requested lamb’s blood from their butcher, for door-frame-painting purposes.

My bible history is a bit weak.

Was there ever a Caesar struck by lightning while watching a spectacle? No? Well it’s waaay overdue.

If we have gnats we skipped the first two, the Potomac turning to blood and the invasion of frogs, Pepe or not Pepe.

Yep.
Tomorrow:

Dogs and cats, living together… mass hysteria!

? Did you perhaps leave out a word at the end there, intending Est ad UFC mollis e Domu Alba via? (I think it’s domu rather than domus in the ablative, too.)

It means “People called Romanes, they go the White House.”

Quite probably. My Latin is decades rusty at this point

Gawd there’s nothing more annoying than Latin pedants. Except Latin pendants. It’s a dead language. Get over it.

Dead languages have no pedants. If you make a mistake in Etruscan, nobody will complain, because nobody knows Etruscan any more.

Latin is a dead language
as anyone can see
It killed off all the Romans
And now its killing me

Dead or not, how about not posting in languages other than English? At the very least, don’t post in a language in which you’re not fluent. (Using Google Translate doesn’t count.)

My felis catus disagrees.

ETA:accidently posted twice.
