Seen on Facebook. Real or sarcasm? I honestly don’t know. I think the Jesus is bothering me if it’s real. Seems he should be the hot blond Jesus. Or maybe that would be sarcasm. You just can’t tell anymore.
True. I’m used to seeing the crucified Jesus in a loincloth, though.
Although, I wonder if, say, a Renaissance artist tasked with painting a non-glorified (my grade school teacher, Sister Rita Ann, used that descriptor for crucifixion scenes that bowdlerized the result of the pre-crucifixion torture and it stuck with me) crucifix would have used a circumcised Jesus.
“Let’s paint some happy little nails. One here, one here, and another little fella here. Oh, and let’s go wild and put a crown of thorns up here. Don’t be afraid to take risks.”
(Slaps a brush rapidly against the leg of the easel.)
So, in 18 years, we’ll have the same as China got with their one-child policy: 70% males. Great, that’s all this country needs: a whole generation of incels. Oh well, the military will need cannon fodder by then.
Besides the presumption of innocence, and because we are dealing with an administration that ignores due process…
We are in the territory where the authoritarian is telling us to choose the worse options.
(Here it should go a video clip I can’t find now; it was about a woman that despised the Nazis in the Netherlands for making her choose between protecting Jews and to follow the new antisemite laws. -She was against those laws, so she was punished for protecting Jews back then. -)
Republicans are considering removing the Milwaukee Judge that was arrested this morning:
“These charges are serious, deeply troubling, and strike at the core of public trust,” Rep. Tyler August, R-Walworth, said in a statement. “We will continue to monitor the legal process, but Assembly Republicans stand prepared to act decisively if these serious allegations are confirmed.”“Accountability is not optional — it is essential to the integrity of public service,” he said.
Accountability is not optional? Since when?
Also, FWIW, there are protests today and tomorrow.
